How do I schedule my BPI Certification field training and testing?

An Everblue representative will contact you to schedule your field training and BPI Certification testing. Most available training and testing dates will be coordinated in conjunction with our Live BPI Building Analyst Training courses. Although we will make every effort to accommodate your schedule, seats are limited for the field testing and training. Seats will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis based upon your date and time of registration.

Why should I take the webinar?

Everblue's e-Learning delivers the same content as the classroom, with a live instructor, in real time, via the Internet. It's completely interactive - ask questions and get answers from the instructor.  All training is recorded, so if you miss a session, you can enjoy the lesson at another time.  This BPI Certification webinar series includes 14 hours of live instruction and is perfect for people in geographic areas without a live course and for people whose primary concern is cost and scheduling.

Course material for the webinar takes 2 - 4 days to ship. If you live outside the Continential US, please contact Everblue for additional rates and delivery time.

Why should I take a live course?

Nothing beats live, in person interaction. Everblue's live BPI Certification course is longer, allowing more time to cover the material and to dissect relevant practice questions.  If you are new to residential energy auditing or easily distractable (tempted to surf the internet during the webinar?), then we highly recommend our live instruction course.

Course Requirements: This course is delivered over the Internet. You must have a high-speed Internet connection. Audio can be listened to from your computer speakers. All registrants will receive their webinar login credentials 3 days prior to the first webinar session. To receive a certificate of completion, students must attend no less 75% of the live webinar.

BPI Webinar & BPI Exams

  • Submitted by Everblue on Sat, 04/03/2010 - 17:08.
The BPI Webinar replaces the classroom based portion of our BPI Certification Program. After the webinar, you will still need to complete a day of field training, a 2 hour written exam, and a 2 hour field exam.

The main benefit of the BPI webinar is that you do not have to take off additional workdays to get BPI Certified.

What extra will it cost me for the exam and what does it cost for the blower door etc.?

BPI Certification Exam and Blower Door

  • Submitted by Everblue on Sat, 04/03/2010 - 17:11.
    Stephen,

We provide all of the equipment that you need for training and testing as part of the class. The BPI Written exam is $250 and the BPI Field exam is $350. You must pass both the written and the field exams to earn your BPI Certification.

After the class, we provide a discount on the blower door systems which will run you $2200-$3000 depending on which accessories you choose to purchase. If you are just starting out, many new auditors rent or borrow equipment for their first couple of energy audit inspections.

After completing the webinar training, can I schedule the written and field exams for another time? How long after the webinar am I eligible to take the written and field exams? And if the webinar costs 595. How much $$ is required to reserve my spot (if at all)?

    Thank you!!

BPI Webinar Scheduling and Deposit

  • Submitted by Everblue on Mon, 06/07/2010 - 10:57.
    Everett,

Hello. We will schedule your post BPI webinar testing at your convenience. It is usually easiest for webinar attendees to join the last day of our live BPI Training courses as we have the written exam and field exam sessions scheduled during that time.

For the program, you can pay in full or pay a deposit of $400 to reserve a seat in any of our BPI Training programs. Also, please keep in mind that the field testing slots are assigned on a first come first serve basis so if you wish to have first choice of time slot, please register early.

    Thank you,
    Everblue

BPI Testing dates?

  • Submitted by Bob E (not verified) on Tue, 05/25/2010 - 11:29.
If I decide to take webinar training, how much flexibility is there to schedule field training and testing needed to complete certification?

Do I just look at the last 2 days of classroom weeks at closest location?

    Thanks.

BPI Testing after Online BPI Training

  • Submitted by Everblue on Mon, 06/07/2010 - 10:53.
    Bob,

We will work with you to schedule your written and BPI exams. The easiest way to complete the BPI testing is to join the last day of any of our Live BPI Training sessions.

If you have to travel to a location, we will try to get both testing done in one day?

BPI Training Times and Schedule

  • Submitted by Everblue on Mon, 06/07/2010 - 10:27.
    Robert,

Hello. The BPI Training webinar is well suited for you if you cannot take off from work during the day to complete the training. The webinars generally run in the evening and are broken up over 2-3 weeks.

Once you complete the webinar training, you will still need to schedule a time slot for the written and field exams. As part of the webinar training we will work with you to schedule the BPI Certification exams.

BA Webinar training

  • Submitted by Doug- (not verified) on Mon, 06/21/2010 - 18:16.
Is the June 25 BA Webinar training still available? How fast can the course material be sent (Portland, OR)? How soon after taking the Webinar do you do the field training and testing?

Do you have to have your own equipment for the field testing/training?

    Thanks,
    Doug

BPI Webinar Training for Portland Oregon

  • Submitted by Everblue on Wed, 06/23/2010 - 15:12.
    Doug,

The June 25th webinar is still available and I will contact you to help you register. You can complete the BPI field training and the BPI testing as soon as the webinar is completed.

For the training and testing, we provide all of the equipment. You simply need to show up with a pen and paper. Of course, if you have your own equipment we'd be happy to work with that as well and show you how to use it, if need be.

    Thank you,
    Everblue

BPI or RESNET Training for blower door and duct testing

  • Submitted by FED (not verified) on Thu, 06/24/2010 - 12:14.
What course is needed for an HVAC company to be certified in blower door testing? Also, do you have courses in duct design & testing?

BPI or RESNET for Blower Door and Duct Testing

  • Submitted by Everblue on Thu, 07/01/2010 - 03:48.
    Frank,

Hello. There are two certifications that cover blower door testing. A RESNET HERS Rater is for new construction and a BPI Building Analyst is for existing homes. We have a combined course that runs 7 days and covers both standards which also includes duct testing & proper design (although it is more of a duct best practices vs true design class).
